White Dog put on her Sherlock Holmes hat and got out her magnifying glass. "What are you doing?" I looked up from the computer to ask. "There is a mystery under foot and I mean to get to the bottom of it!" she responded. "Mmmmm, OK. Good luck. Have fun." and I went back to work.

A while later I took a break and found White Dog sprawled on the bed, deep in thought. "How's the sleuth business?" "Well I have a bunch of clues but none of the witnesses are talking and I can't find any physical evidence. I am stumped. Have any cocaine?" "WHAT!!!!" I cried in alarm. "Well Sherlock Holmes uses when he can't figure things..." "Well, White One, you can forget that strategy! Are you trying to give your momma a heart attack?" "I was just trying to get into character," she said contritely, "and I wasn't serious." "That is nothing to joke about!"

"So what is the case that has you in such a dither?"

"There is something...somewhere that ALL of the White Dog Army (except me) is getting into. Did you notice that both Nuka and Quinn have faint stains on the exact same place on their right hips? And Puff and YoYoMa both have mysterious streaks along the right sides of their necks? It doesn't smell like cat poop. It is not sticky yet it smears. It doesn't just rub off.  It is not dirt. It reappeared even though dad washed up both Nuka and YoYoMa yesterday before he went to work. And Michael has done a fine job at his yard patrol cleanup this week.

"I asked the WDA to fill me in on their activities, you know, what they have been doing, where they have been going...but everyone says the same thing...stuff...here and there. I looked over all over the house and the yard...nothing. I checked every one's beds and blankets...nada. I have even resorted to hiding under the agility A-Frame hoping to catch them unawares. No luck. So I am laying here on the bed where I can see into the yard but they can't see me...but of course everyone is in the living room napping.

"Little White Dog of My Heart, you are obsessing and losing perspective. You don't need drugs; you need to set this aside for a while and take a nap yourself. Refreshed you might think of a new angle and things will become clearer. Don't give up but but take a break...and if you find the answer please let me know; I was sort of wondering, too.!"

This is very curious. Were they working on their Valentine's Day cards and maybe have some left over paint and glitter on their fur?

Drugs are such a bad thing. I just heard that we lost Whitney Houston and that was probably drug related.

I hope you are able to solve the mystery :)
