White Dog and The White Dog Army were denied their Dog given right to go to the Park yesterday. The canyon winds were so fierce that they tore down street signs and blew in all of the plastic storm windows we use on the sun porch during the winter. Plus the temperatures hovered around 33 degrees F, a nasty combination with the wind and blowing sand. So we played inside. This game is called "Fishing for Eskies!"
Today though still nippy it was MUCH less gusty so we took advantage of the break and headed out into blue skies to the Park and some critically needed outside time. And after, we discovered a great little place that makes stuffed sopapillas...beignet type unsweet puffs filled with taco meat and cheese for the WDA, guacamole and chicken for Steve, and carne adovoda and potatoes for me. A bit too nippy to eat outside, we enjoyed a snug and cozy car picnic. Back home the White Dog declared this a much better day than most of the past week. Then everyone curled up in favorite places to bask in the day's glow. Hope your weekend is relaxing and pleasant!

That's seriously windy! And poor restless pups! We're all restless too, it's been POURING rain here since noon

Oh No flying squirrels in the house!!! But it looks like the Army took care of it. Good job.
Blessings,

I don't want any of the Army to blow away! Glad you stayed indoors with those gusty winds. Those yummy foods make my mouth water!
What a great game. Looks like you had some really good "fish" in the pond. :)
I don't think I would like that wind either, but fishing, yes!
Our weekend was a little busy. So we didn't have much time to see what the weather was doing. It was nice outside but very windy!
Glad you were able to get out and run in the park for awhile, The weather has been weird this year!
We have had some very windy days too, but we did manage to get the Momster out for some walks today. We think we might enjoy that fishing game too.
Hope the winds die down soon.

We've had winds like yours. "They" say that the gusts were over 100 mph last night. Three trees snapped off on our property. Sadly, they were alive and healthy trees.
I'm glad that the WDA had a great day yesterday!
Hi White Dog Army, sorry about your windy and damaging day. Sounds like the next day made up for it. Car picnic? We like the sound of that. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
We've had some serious winds here too! Glad you got to play some fun games inside though! We love games!

Weather can be SO scary!
Even though fishing for Eskies looks FUN, we are glad you all had a chance to get some much-loved outside time (and some yummy food, too)! :)
