April 29, 2012

White Dog rounded up her sisters and YoYoMa and in the new ritual that has evolved, passed the responsibility of watching the house over to Quinn, who preferred to stay at home. We were on a mission and then it was Park time!

First we stopped at Dawg Gone Good Pet Boutique. YoYoMa's first Gotcha Day is this coming Thursday so Steve and I did a little shopping. The shop has been very supportive of my cancer fighting efforts through 2MillionDogs and has agreed to carry my t-shirt in their shop. THEIR first anniversary is Cinco de Mayo and they are having a giant celebration. Hopefully the crowd will help throw a few punches at breast cancer.

Next, we sent White Dog with the shirts in to see Lisa, the owner at Boofy's Best for Pets. Lisa loves WD because she says WD is even softer than her cats...and has better manners. The White Dog Army spends LOTS of their allowance here buying Fromm's Cranberry Liver Treats, which they eat every night before bed. Boofy's is the only place in town to find these goodies. She, too has been a supporter of our cancer work and has agreed to display the shirts. WD gave "thank you" cuddles and we restocked treats...then business was done.

Off to the Park! The "fast pack" of WD, Puff, and YoYoMa had a brisk run and workout. they came back panting and happy. Then it was Nuka's turn. She chose to lead Steve on a tour of the duck pond. Stuffed sopapillas for lunch and then home, where Quinn was waiting for his part of the fluffy bread, hamburger, cheese and diced potato delight.

Later Gregg and Candace came by for dinner and we shared a middle eastern platter of grilled meats, rice, salad, humus, baba ghanous, and falafil.  It has been a great food weekend.

This is White Dog's impersonation of a mountain goat enjoying lamb shish kabob with rice.
