Wonderful World Wednesday
White Dog and her siblings love the
concept of Random Acts of Kindness. One of their favorite acts is to share
baggies of kibble and a sandwich with the loyal GSD companion and the homeless man they
often encounter during their bedtime walks. The WDA believes that every
kindness, no matter how small, works toward creating a more wonderful world for
everyone.
Recently, we happily discovered that
there is an entire foundation dedicated to inspiring people (and we bet,
four-leggeds, too) to practice kindness and pass it on to others: The Random
Acts of Kindness Foundation, www.randomactsofkindness.org.
They operate on the premise that kindness is everywhere, and
they present links to kindness initiatives that help you explore
kindness, whether you seek other communities to join or want to find ideas and
inspiration. They also sponsor a Kindness Challenge.
This
year there were three winners of the Challenge, including this generous widowed carpenter who brings joy
to children:

Good News Network, May 12, 2012The White Dog Army finds hope and do-ability in the Random Acts message. It is something that every creature can accomplish. Spread the word…and an act of kindness!
“Let’s start smaller. How many kind thoughts of others can
you have in a day? How many people can you encourage? How many people can you
help in small way? Now we’re onto something…
“Imagine… if we simply hoped for the best toward every
person we come in contact with during the day. If each one of us, day by day,
shared acts of kindness with those we know and those we don’t know…how would
the world change? How would YOU change? How far would our kindness spread?
“Start with your own world and your own circle of influence.
Your friends, family, and community. Start now. Continuously let kindness be
the cause you support and watch it grow into a better future!”

We love this idea of showing random acts of kindness to others. Thank you so much for letting us know and for all that you do.:)
Love,

P.S. There aren't any pictures of Mommy from Mother's Day because she is always behind the camera.:(
Sounds like a great website. You have probably already heard of this one but kind of reminds me of the same, it is wishuponahero.com :)
We've heard of the Random Acts of Kindness too. It's a wonderful idea and everyone should give it a go! No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
I think one of the most amazing things Random Acts of Kindness give is a longer life. I hope Mr. Carpenter enjoys the rest of his life.
I think helping someone in need, no matter how small the task is a great way to start doing it.

Hopefully one day soon kindness will not be an act!
that is the thing to remember - that one act can affect more people than you realize!!
We believe that acts of kindness make you feel warm inside in the knowledge you have helped a little. It is the best feeling and as you say no matter how smaall it helps the world be a better place. Hugs GJ xx
