June 26, 2012

White Dog noted the temperature; it was 93 degrees at 9pm. The White Dog Army read the hourly news over my shoulder. Fires still burning out of control in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona. Oso made a grim joke about our beautiful area beginning to resemble Hades with its smoke filled skies, smoldering aftermath, and blazing inferno.

We all know so many members of our Blog Family who live in these areas or who have loved ones here. What is being destroyed will be lost forever (at least for our lifetimes...and our childrens'). We worry about wind shifts and unbreathable air. We fear for the safety of of loved ones, firefighters, wildlife.

White Dog, The Mighty Quinn, Nuka Angel, Puff the Magical, YoYoMa and Oso the Fearless ask you to join paws and hands with us to focus the energy needed to bring victory and relief to these ravaged areas before more is lost. Share the Power of the Paw with us tonight as we ask that the heat wave across the country be broken before more lives are lost and that much needed rain kiss the Earth in those place which are drought-stricken kindling awaiting a lightning strike or careless human. If you just set aside one minute to add your power we CAN make a difference...we have before.

And we believe in miracles. Please take our paws and be one in our belief.

Those fires are so scary, and as KB noted, "out of our hands". But we all know the power of the paws, so we are joining with you in hopes of seeing a drastic improvement soon.

My pack and I join the WDA in praying for an end to this destruction. So much has already been lost. Especially prayers for those right in the path of these fires.
