July 1, 2012

White Dog stood on Steve's chest as he tried to arise to take YoYoMa for their usual early morning run. YoYoMa took her action as a sign that he could curl up for a few more minutes of sleep...after all, it was after 1 am before we all headed to bed, post-opera.

Steve looked at her and shrugged. "Know what we need," White Dog announced. "A lie around and do absolutely nothing day! So lie back and sleep for a little while longer. Go on! You deserve it! Heck, we ALL do. Then we can make bacon for a nice brunch and then maybe take a nap...who knows. We'll just do nothing but be together." Steve's broad smile was interrupted by a yawn and he threw his arms around WD. "Sounds like a great idea Little One; this will be such a treat!" She snuggled into his arms and closed her eyes.

The rest of the White Dog Army moved into the bedroom and claimed spots to return to sleep; WD on our bed; YAWD on the floor at the bed's foot where he always sleeps; Oso in his bed in the corner; Nuka with her back against my side of the bed; and Puff and Quinn together in the doorway. Soon everyone was still under the whirrr of the ceiling fan and swamp cooler. We heard no noises from Michael's room, either.

We all shared brunch with bacon and omlettes and iced coffee mochas at 11and spent the rest of the day doing lots of this:
and a little of this...
and more of this:
and a bit of this (especially on WD who is shedding and itchy):

We hope you had a relaxing Sunday, too!

Sounds like a great idea!! May we join you? Nothing like a good dog day to relish in. Hope you enjoyed your opera. There really is nothing like a live show, to truly appreciate the gift of music.

Thank you for your kind words for our Blogiversary. We feel the same way about the lack of division between the packs. It is truly amazes how they operate more and more like one than two. Thank you for being part of our blog world. :)
