White Dog sounded the alert that the delivery guy was here and Steve went to drag the huge box onto the porch. He gave the White Dog Army a chance to sniff and guarantee our safety before bringing it into the house. As he began cutting open the box, he found that he had a pack of willing supervisors...and Oso was even willing to help with pulling the tape and plastic out of the way.

Quinn's inability to walk very far has been an ongoing topic of conversation in our house as the Walk to End Cancer approaches. We cannot imagine the White Dog Army walking without him, yet we would never push him beyond his comfort or jeopardize his health. And then things were further complicated by Puff's going into heat, which means SHE is not going to be sashshaying her tail in front of 200+ other pups.

Several of you suggested a doggie stroller and we looked into the possibility. We thought we would get one large enough to hold both TOWD and SAWD and then BOTH could join the WDA behind the Grand Marshal at the front of the march. The strollers were expensive, especially since Steve also wanted one which transformed into a trailer that could also be hooked up behind his bike. But WD and I patiently searched the local used items sources and the internet and lucked into a one-day only 50% off sale with free shipping...and it is new! Eureka!

So after the floofy White Los Jefes made sure the wheels were secure, the handle on tight, the flaps all zippered, it was time for a test ride. Quinn appointed Oso as his proxy for the maiden stroll of the WDA Tank and Puff showed her Kansas frontier spirit by hopping right in. We think with a little practice, this might be the start of a beautiful tradition! White Dog has already called dibs when it comes time to try out the bike ride.
Just as a side note, Michael took these photos with his new camera; the first ever published!

Its a Doozy! The non-walkers will look most handsome and regal riding along and the walkers may feel just a teensy bit of jelly to be left out!

And whatta bargain!

hey WDA,

Your mom rocks! How pawsome that she found such a perfect, fabulous stroller and for 50% off! I love the stroller and what an excellent remedy. I am so furry happy that the entire WDA can now join in on the Walk. And, congratulations on almost reaching your financial goal. Great job!

Michael, you did a fantastic job on the photos! Very well done!

Hey Suka,
The White Dog Army STILL has a teeny ways to go before we can ALL claim success (and get the much coveted Walk t-shirt which Michael still has $25.00 to go in order to win). BUT the coolest part is that we received so much help and support from our loved ones and friends in the Blog World who have contributed and donated items and made really very special items for our auction. We are grateful and blessed to bring this spirit with us as we Walk to end the c monster.

Oh, this is wonderful! I think you will love riding in the stroller. My assistant converted my human sissy's old stroller into a stroller for me. Now, I can accompany my family on many adventures! Have fun!
