Saturday afternoon we filled 100 lovely blue bags (donated) with dog food samples, treats, water bags, flashlights, pens, candies, lots of information and special coupons, and more. The WDA sniffed and made sure everything was up to standard, that no bags were missed as we distributed goodies, and the bags looked nice and orderly. They were excited to discover the box marked "25 samples" of legume and duck dog food actually contained TWENTY-SIX bags, which meant that they could have a sample nibble as we worked.
On things is certain, thanks to the amazing generosity of so many, pups and humans who take the time and make the effort to Walk with us to fight the evil c will know that they are appreciated. And as a thank you for the White Dog Army (who will also get a bag on Walk day), we are taking a few hours tomorrow to head out together to celebrate the first days of Autumn. You know what they say about all work and no play.
