White Dog and The White Dog Army
Wonderful World Wednesday
White Dog and the WDA are awestruck by the continuing encouraging comments and support that have come out of last Sunday's Walk to End Cancer. This response and the Blog Community's participation of LiveStrong have us convinced that a powerful force is gathering...a force strong enough to make a cancer-free world a reality...and sooner rather than later. We believe that the awareness and activism generated by the unity of voices, paws and hands will push forward research and help to reorganize priorities so that beating this horrible beast becomes an international focus. A world where cancer.touches.NO.one....who can imagine a more wonderful thing?
As a small "thank you" to this community for carrying the battle forward, especially in your support of our grassroots efforts, we have two t-sirts from the Walk to End Cancer to share. We put the names of everyone who sent us a Tribute for the Heroes Wall and of each of you who made a contribution into a tote. YoYoMa shook the entries thoroughly and spilled them out on the floor. Quinn and Nuka checked the bag to make sure all of the entries were scattered. Puff and Oso walked through the field just to give the entries a final stirring. Then White Dog chose two slips of paper. The winners are
Random Felines
and DaWeenies of Florida
We will send the t-shirts (autographed by the WDA, if you choose) just as soon as you send your choice of sizes and mailing addresses (sehismith@aol.com). We wish we had the means to send everyone in our Blog family a shirt to reward your contributions and precious ones which are no less appreciated...and we love the idea of an Army out there wearing our shirt...Know that every single day we are aware of how wonderful the world is and of its amazing potential because of you.
