White Dog and the rest of the White Dog Army didn't understand when Steve shot up in bed before dawn and said, "Yikes!" As he scrambled from bed and dashed from the room I quickly counted heads and did a recon to make sure all were OK. I heard the back door slam and then slam again as he came back in almost immediately.

Seven of us looked at him in the semi-darkness as he took off his robe and climbed back into bed. "And?" I asked wondering what had just happened. "Don't you hear it?" he asked, already heading back to sleep. "It is pouring rain and storming." We all listened and indeed, it WAS; we could hear thunder rumbling and the rain pounding on the windows. "And?" I repeated as the White Ones began to resettle around us.

"Oh, the laundry was still hanging outside and I didn't want everything to get soaked."

These are the kind of early morning crises I can deal with. "Thanks, sweetheart," I said kissing him on the head. "Good Night Again, Army"...but they were already fast asleep.

Update: Nuka received her last (hopefully) IV hydration and does not need to go back to Dr. Julia's until Friday for one last blood panel to make sure every thing is coming back to normal. At home, she ate real food, drank water from her bowl deeply, and then was exhausted from her busy schedule. There has been no further issue with Quinn or his tummy; I am hoping he learned a valuable lesson about eating poop (which is NOT to!). It was a perfectly wonderful day of bored, napping dogs on a cold, rainy day when NOTHING happened!

Sounds like a good day to stay under the covers and cuddle all day long. :)

Thinking of all of you... miss you all and sending prayers your way.

Things may get a little crazy over at our home, and I might not visit as often, but we think of you and want to thank you for always thinking of us. Thank you for always being there for Nala and me. You were some of our very first friends!

Big woofs & huggies! <3
