White Dog climbed on Steve's chest this morning not to rouse him from sleep as she usually does but to ask him to turn off the alarm clock so that she and the others of The White dog Army could sleep in.

Breakfast was nearly brunch by the time everyone got moving and the day's first meal lacked the usual wanting to share human breakfast. Every pup was still full from the previous day of indulgence. The WDA was shocked after we ate when Steve announced he was going to tackle some house chores...like FINALLY closing down the swamp cooler and changing the house water filter. "But dad," White Dog cried, "it is Christmas!" "Umm, no Little One, that was yesterday. Today is a chance to get a few things done that have been neglected." She sighed and went to hide on the bed lest she be called upon to help.

The other White Ones weren't any more enthusiastic.

YoYoMa fell asleep hording a missed scrap of wrapping paper from Christmas.

Not even the temptation of a treat could lure Bella from her napping spot

Oso could barely keep his eyes open

White Dog came out to snooze in the sunpuddle hitting her watching chair; still not interested in supervising

Puff chose the hearth blanket 

Only Taiko volunteered to go out and help Steve with the tasks. He is just SO very happy to have dad home all week that he is like velcro sticking to Steve's side.
