White Dog loves watching her Army during their moments of simple joy when her wise and gentle pack break loose and act like puppies.
Opal trotted out carrying the fox stuffy in her mouth. She pranced a little challenge dance up to Sachi clearly inviting him to play with her. Sachi was have a glickies day and really wasn't interested in running or tugging.
But Zsofia slid off of the chair and wooed a response. Opal wriggled over to her and shook the toy. Zso bowed and sprang forward. Opal whirled, fox flew like a banner from her mouth as she took off for the dog door. Zsofia was in hot pursuit...followed by Bailey who gracefully jumped from the couch and joined the game.
I could hear them playing chase around the yard. White Dog pointed out when possession of the toy changed, "Listen for the barking to be different," she explained.
The door banged and Opal came zooming in but dropped fox as she spun into the living room and leapt onto the watching chair. Zsofia's momentum carried her onto the other chair and into sleeping Sachi.
Bailey started her jump for the couch about halfway across the room. She landed on her side on the cushions and looked pretty pleased with her prowess. Bai noticed the fox toy was laying, unclaimed, in the hallway. She looked at Opal curled up, spent on the chair...and at Zso cocooned with her brother.
Just to "protect" the prize, Bailey stepped across the room gently grabbed the stuffy, set it on the couch, then jumped back up to lie with it safely under her belly.

I love the description of this scene, Sue. Such joy!
Bailey, we guess you're claiming that toy as yours. :)
