White Dog said, "Dr. Julia is not a favorite of the White Dog Army today. First, she yanks 15 teeth from Tizenegy then she steals blood from YoYoMa...AND she doesn't even have good news about what she took!"
"I think you are being a little harsh on our Healer," I told WD. "Teez will recover and be glad that those rotting, broken toofies are gone...and more important, he will be healthier."
"As for YoYoMa, you know that IMHA is a sneaky unpredictable disease, that is not Dr. Julia's fault. She is concerned but not in a panic, that is why she wants to see him next week instead of in two. That is why we are moving his medical cocktail around a bit. But she is right when she reminds us that there seems to be a certain swing like a pendulum in the way Yo's numbers go. Hopefully, we will see things start to head in an upward direction."
"Can't we just give him MORE of all of his meds?" White Dog asked. "If only it was that easy, Sweet Girl. It is a delicate balance and Yo's hair loss also must be considered because that is a sign his skin might be having trouble fighting bacteria and infections. We remain vigilant and juggle both long- and short-term goals...remembering that his auto immune system is so compromised AND watching his red blood cells."
"But Yo is full of energy, and eating well, and is in good humor. Frankly, momma, I would have predicted that his number was up!" "Me, too, my love. But YoYoMa is has amazing spirit and is an incredible Warrior; sometimes I think he pushes himself so WE don't worry."
"So like Dr. Julia said, we will just keep doing what we do best which is believing in the power of the White Dog Army, keeping close watch, and patiently working the protocol." "And we will see what next week brings?" "Send strength to those Ninja Red Blood Cells, send them stealth and strength."
YoYoMa's hematocrit was at 32...down from 35.6 two weeks ago...which is down from the 38 of a month ago. And his white blood cells count is up to 25000 indicating his body is fighting SOMETHING, somewhere.
