White Dog sighed and moved into the corner to accommodate the rest of the White Dog Army pressing into the office for comfort and pack reassurance. "EVERY night, momma! How long does monsoon season last?"
Before I could answer, the storm intensified to include hail striking the windows quite forceably. "I am going to need to check the solar panels in the morning," Steve almost shouted over the din.
Everyone moved in closer to press against Steve and I. I pushed a few computer buttons and turned up the volume. The always soothing sounds of Enya, a WDA favorite flowed as a counterpoint to the raucous rain.
"Do you think it will end before walk time?" Zsofia wanted to know. "I HATE when it is storming and it is our night-night patrol time. It always feels like we did not follow the proper sequence for saying goodnight," Pearl agreed.
"We will see," was the best Steve could promise. White Dog cocked her head, "I think it is slowing down," she whispered.
"For NOW!" replied Tizenegy who was feeling a bit grumpy that is post dinner, prewalk nap was being interrupted. "Let's hope it is over now," soothed Opal.

At least when it rains here we don't have to worry about nightly walks
