White Dog reminded Steve it was time to update the lists and renew licenses for The White Dog Army and to do the annual multidog permit. Because the WDA is large, we have found it easiest to prepare a spreadsheet of names, rabies numbers, chip IDs and such BEFORE we head into Animal Welfare; we hand them the list to work from since the City records ALWAYS seem to be a mess. WD and Steve were working together to add our new recruits and to sadly list those who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Tizenegy joined the White Dog Army in February but neither of the listmakers could find his info. They checked all of the files; they searched to make sure his info had somehow not been incorrectly placed. It was nowhere.

After a bit of panic, we realized that Tiz was a special case when he joined the WDA.

At first he was an anonymous part of the witness protection plan, taken from a hoarder and left with us for his safety. We were his sanctuary while the rescue sorted out the situation and waited for the legal system to take action. Then he was in limbo and the rescue listed us as his "fosters" as he was finally legally released to the rescue. They sent us congratulations and Tizenegy was ours...a White Dog Army member that had long before already been thought of in those terms.

But we never completed the official "adoption" paperwork that included the information we needed now.

Steve and White Dog sorted things out and we contacted our rescue goddess friend, Angela. The paperwork was sent. Today the signed documents and his adoption fee were sent...and Tizenegy is officially part of The White Dog Army.

Now he can be licensed and vetted by us alone. Tiz seems a bit confused about the fuss but s Zsofia told him, "ANY opportunity to have a celebration is something you should be excited about. Sure it was a technicality but if it means tacos...let the party begin! Welcome, brother!"

Well, we sure are glad that all worked out. Hooray for you, Tiz. You're official now! :)
