Fortunately Nilla was more stoic in my arms as we prepared to give her the first injection of the medicine that will fight her drug resistant staph infection. She DID turn her head away and let out a little yelp at the sting of the needle point...but to be honest I closed my eyes, too.
Instantly the entire White Dog Army blizzarded around her to commend her bravery and to make sure treats were applied (to all) as a calming balm.
