White Dg pointed out, "It is the same skill set and sense of order that made Opal the only White Dog beside me who puts her toys away. Think about that."
Opal spent a good part of the afternoon creating her vision of "winterizing" our house, much to the unhappiness of her siblings.
I looked up at the movement of pink and green flowing across the floor in the bedroom to realize that Miss Oh! was dragging Bella's sleep mat from its usual protected spot across from me. Bella stood watching and looking for an intervention as Opal moved the mat to the end of our bed and then straightened neatly.
White Dog showed Steve when he arrived home the spot under the desk where her shaggy rug normally next to her sofa now partially rested. AND her giant Lambie pillow/stuffie now had its own space near Tizenegy. He did not know whether to be frightened of the thing or apologize to WD.
The living room had been "Opalized" as well. Sofa pillows had been pushed aside and replaced with a chewable collection of plush "friends." The momma chair pillows so long ago abandoned by my being confined to bed had been taken from their spot on the arm of the chair and tenderly arranged on the seat. This is where Opal sat to receive praise from Steve on her work.
I cuddled My Sparkling Girl when she came into the bedroom. "Such good work but I think everyone would prefer their space design left to them...except for momma, I love your positive healing thoughts that I will soon return to being able to use my chair again. Thank you."
I saw her look. "Oh no, sweet girl, we are NOT going to rearrange momma's bed!"

LOL. It sounds like Opal has a designer's eye, and a true artistic vision, of how things should be. :)
