White Dog called her, "today's hero" for Bella's brave defense of momma against my at-home nurse.
Bella was soundly sleeping in the corner and had been allowed to stay in the bedroom when Lyndzy came to check on me and draw blood. The nurse had the sniffles and as a good health practice wore a face mas to keep from spreading germs.
Bella, my Mouse Who Roars, woke to see a masked woman tying a tourniquet around my bicep and sprang into action. She moved between me and my caregiver, all of the while barking a threatening "Leave my momma alone!" command.
Steve came in and carried out My Protector, still barking and squirming to be at my side. He deposited her in the kitchen, gated with the others.
I could tell from the exit "song" that she had filled in the entire White Dog Army. I was blizzarded by prodding noses and gentle nuzzles to make sure I was unharmed.
