December 28, 2019

White Dog and the White Dog Army crowded around Beth. She was carrying a bag and they knew before she said it, "I got something for the dogs."

"It wasn't necessary, my friend," I told her and WDA heads snapped around to glare at me. "These guys have made out like bandits this holiday season. You must not let them make you feel guilty."

"It wasn't that. Well not entirely. They are all so good and are such good hosts and hostesses they deserve to be rewarded," she said and White Dog tails wagged in anticipation.

"Good manners are expected and do not need rewards," the momma voice said looking at the pack. "They are just finishing their dinners. You can distribute samples after we humans eat. Steve will put them up so you are not vulture to death  until then."

Everybody followed Steve out to the kitchen and watched him place Beth's bag on top of the refrigerator. Tizenegy let out a sad whimper. Bailey did the math to see if she could reach the bag; I saw her calculating in her head.

"Worry not babies," I told them. "You will not run out of treats or toys for a LONG time thanks to our Santa friends."
Apologies to Lisa, Andy, and Sally....who sent Strawberry Yogurt cookies that are already history and did last long enough to be photographed.
