White Dog and Bella supervised as Steve began the task of clearing the wall of book shelves to expand the White Dog Army Tribute Space.
It is not easy for book hoarders to discard tomes, even old texts or manuals but before the afternoon's end White Dog had pushed hard enough for the team to meet their goal of two shelves cleared and removed. As an added bonus, the room got a thorough cobweb dusting.
The only testing moment came when Steve, who at first succumbed to WD's argument that the dictionary and the thesaurus could be eliminated "because it is online, just could not in the final accounting cleanse our household of such essentials. Secretly, I am glad he won that discussion.
The rest of the White Dog Army and I had been busy as well...making spiralized zucchini pasta with meatballs in a ricotta sauce for dinner. The house smelled wonderful and the workers grateful that dinner was ready and waiting. It meant they did not have to fight too long to stay awake until post dinner naps.
