December 18, 2020

White Dog , Bailey and Bella were in overseeing Steve's real job and hoping to snag a few bites of his turkey sandwich.

Zsofia, Opal and Roman helped me address the holiday cards that we were laughingly calling "New Year's Greetings." The delivery of the postage stamps, ordered over a week ago, were notw "Delivery Delayed," according to the USPS ordering site.

"Why the heck are stamps coming from KANSAS?" I asked my crew. "The post office is within walking distance of our house." "More interestingly, momma," Opal pointed out, "Is that they seem to be doing a tour of the Western States. They went right past us to get to Arizona!"

"Just turn up the Christmas music and sing along," Zsofia suggested. "We can at least have the cards all ready to go when the stamps get here."

Roman almost snorted liver sausage out of his snooter when I clicked on the first carol to play: John Lennon's "So this is Christmas."

"Let's hope it's a good one when the mail gets here!" we all howled along slightly twisting the chorus.

Yes, the mail sure is having delays these days, thanks to all those shenanigans pulled in the summer and fall. Just horrible. We hope your stamps reach you soon, sweet friends.
