 White Dog asked her sister, "What are you snoofling?"

"I don't know," Bailey replied. "Everything is the same everyday. Same sticks. Same sunpuddles. Same old yard. I am so bored."

"Come, walk with me," White Dog challenged her, "let's fight your ennui by playing the funny walks game. I will go first. Let's march like soldiers. Knees up! Now your turn."

Bailey giggled and said, "Let's pogo hop like Bella does at dinner time, stiff legged like an antelope." 

The two were laughing as they went around the yard's perimeter changing up walks. Roman joined them. "Can I play, too?" she asked.

"Let's do three BIG steps followed by two tippy toes."

Roman came off of the deck. "Let's walk like we are spies, sneaking from hiding spot to hiding spot."

By the time the Army came in all were in better spirits and ready for treats.
