White Dog smiled. "One thing that I have learned from the White Dog Army is that it takes a LONG time to mentally and emotionally be at this point," she said nodding at Roman.
"Where you feel safe enough that you can allow yourself to completely relax and sleep soundly. Remember when Roman first came to us? The tiniest noise would have him on his feet and ready to fight. Now, we can walk past him and traffic outside can be loud and he trusts he is safe so he continues to sleep. Heck, now he is even starting to nap during the rain. I think that is one important way we can measure success."
