White Dog was fussing in the office. Steve held her and sang softly as they waited for the trazadone to kick in. These days when White Dog is unhappy the entire Army shares her discomfort as well as the humans' frustration.
Bailey and Opal sought reassurance in my company. "Momma, DO something," Bailey implored. "She is crying."
"Sweet girls, dad has given her medicine to help but it takes time to work. She has loving arms around her and soothing music. What we can do is to sit together and focus on sending White Dog calming energy. You know the WDA is powerful; the Universe will hear us and help your sister relax."
"I am totally sending all of my energy, momma. Do you think it is working?" Opal asked. "Listen," I said nodding toward the other room. The fussing had stopped.
