"Momma, remember when I was just a pup and we took classes together? I was thinking of that nice lady who asked us to help her develop a training class to show dogs and people in wheelchairs how to do things together safely," Zsofia asked.

"Of course I do," I told her. "We both learned so much and you mastered the lessons well enough that over the years since you have taught other members of the Army. And the coolest thing is that you are smart enough that you have taken those lessons and continued the learning to understand my needs with my walker, my oxygen hose, and all the other issues that have developed since those days. I am so proud of you."

"Then you don't mind when I do the fun stuff I learned with dad? Sometimes when he and I are in the yard playing he asks me to take a bow or walk the balance beam or just to spin in circles. Usually we end up laughing so much that the others want to play as well."

"Dearest Zso, it gives me great joy to hear you, and your siblings, and dad, outside having a good time. And when I can see you through the patio doors I just break into smiles. When you rush back inside all happy and want to cover me in kisses it is the best feeling ever."
