"Oh, Baby Boy,, Now you are done. You know the rules. You were very far out of line snapping at Bailey to set her treat. I love you very much, and part of that love includes helping you make good choices."

The past couple of days Roman has wrestled with his "good angels" when it comes to social interactions. Some of it is harmless like looking side-eyed or demand barking tantrums; others are rule breakers like pushing to the front of the line for coffee (which puts you at the end) or acts of treat aggression (which ends your treats and puts you in timeout). It is my hope that Roman is making a seasonal adjustment and will recalibrate himself to more even behavior.

Meanwhile I smooth Bailey's furs and gently make sure she is undamaged. "Thank you for your gentle peaceable soul," I tell her as I replace the treat surrendered to her brother,
