White Dog was amazed at the amount of food and "stuff" we packed for transport to the BBQ/Pool Party at Diane's. She was not staying home (of course not) so she sat in the car, waiting, as Steve loaded up. All of the kids kept both White Dog and the Slusser pets running and playing; by the time the party dwindled to a handful of us on the sofa, the dogs were very happy to stretch out together and finally nap (full of treats and happily exhausted) as we talked. White Dog was shocked to find it nearly midnight when we finally toddled out to the car to return home. I am not sure who was asleep faster, Steve or White Dog.
