White Dog and Max were enjoying the long afternoon stalking each other in the yard and playing "Chase Me, Chase You". After a while both came to rest on the deck, side-by-side in the fading sunlight. When White Dog came in Max followed her. She turned on him like a dog possessed and bit him hard enough that Max yelped. White Dog unleashed a fury of barking and snarling that bewildered Max and didn't stop until I jerked her by the collar to sit next to me in "Time Out." Then I petted and fussed over Max to calm him (and to remind White Dog of her manners).
