White Dog is the ONLY member of the White Dog Army these days who is not interested in sharing momma's half cream half coffee cup in the morning. The others politely surround me in a half circle for their chance to have two sips of the yummy froth.

Her lack of interest was apparent when Steve carried in the HUGE box of coffees that arrived for this coming weekend's Pet Expo where we will be selling Giving Bean fresh roast coffee as a fundraiser for Paws to People. The rest of the White Dog Army instantly plunged noses into the box and examined the flavors as they were unpacked. More than once one or another member of the pack pointedly looked over to my cart where my coffee mug sits in the mornings.

"Come on, guys," Steve begged, "these are for resale! Opal put that down! Sachi! Get OUT of the box!" Zsofia, Roman and Tizenegy were arguing over which blend smelled the most delightful.

An intervention was needed if Steve was to finish sorting and organizing. "We will have a special after dinner coffee sips if you let him finish and make dinner. LOTS of rich whipping cream! I promise!"

That got everyone's attention...and Steve hurriedly finished counting the inventory, took the box out to the van, and started dinner prep.

While the WDA ate, he brewed a fresh pot and readied my mug. Not a single pup seemed worried about not being able to sleep due to drinking coffee so late in the day!
