White Dog has a two minute rule for when Steve gets home. She stays in the background to allow her darker sisters to finish their routine of lunging crazily at Steve to greet him; they are so intent on the welcome that the others are mowed over in the process. There is no point trying to ignore them in favor of the smallers; Steve has found it kinder to let the two "get it out of their systems" and then to shift his focus.

After Zso and Bai finish their wooed song to dada, the others cautiously move forward to say hello.
