White Dog was stoic. "Maybe it is a good thing that the last little niggling imps are dealt with...to clear the way for a fresh new year."
It was hard not to sink into a funk when Steve discovered the furnace motor was not turning over. "I'll just run over and pick up a new motor," he said. Nope. Because when he went out to the car, the battery was dead. While he waited for the new one, he called around. No one open today had the motor needed. Good news is burner still was firing so we HAD heat of a sort; bad news is that it was not being distributed very well through the ducts.
"At least we were able to fix the care problem," White Dog said.
It started a White Dog Army discussion about this past year and how hard it seemed at many points. "Sometimes it seemed EVERYTHING in the world was lost," Zso, my sensitive girl mused. Nilla gently rested against her. "It was at those times that sharing our strength and love gave us hope. There is great magic in positive thought and unity. We ARE much better together."
And that is our wish this New Year's Eve for all of you. Not to ring out the old but rather to turn, face forward, and greet the potential of 2019 with hope and commitment to seek what is best. Be the person that believes enough to inspire others. Build an Army of Love and Peace.
As is tradition I will rise along with WD and any who wish to join us and sit on the sunporch to watch the first dawn of the new year. It is predicted we will be snowing; water much needed in our droughted land. In that incredible stillness of infinite possibility we will wrap ourselves in positive thought. The first birdsong sends us to the kitchen for warmth and breakfast preparation.
We hold in our hearts that the Universe WANTS the best and encourages success. 2019...the year we make it happen in every aspect of our lives...come on! Together, we CAN do anything!
