White Dog was right this time but it did not make her feel happy. The others echoed her sentiment but for other reasons, "Well it's the weekend, now," Pearl huffed as she stared out of the window. "Dad doesn't need a snow day."

After a day of high winds, the temperatures dropped nearly thirty degrees F in the late afternoon and it began snowing heavily. Fortunately, Steve already had plans to come home early.
Unfortunately, he was coming home so that we could see Maria de Buenos Aires, an opera by Astor Piazzolla. The bad weather is too great a challenge in my current health; trying to maneuver stairs and car ins and outs AND a portable O2 tank just is overwhelming. Plus The Hispanic American Cultural Center has a VERY poor handicap accessible entry made up of stepping stones on pea gravel. All of which added up to listening to the work online, at home, with the White Dog Army, with a simple spinach and ricotta pasta dinner instead of a night out.

Tizenegy snuggled against Steve. "We are glad you and momma are home and not out in the nasty weather. We would be worrying if you had risked it...especially about momma." Watching the snow continuing to fall coupled with Steve's report that he and Tizenegy found the back ramp slippery was all I needed to be convinced. I kissed Bailey on her head. "Yes, Sweet girl, tonight we will all just enjoy the warmth and safety of being inside at home together. It sounds just perfect on this blustery night."

Sorry you missed the opera, but a warm, safe and snuggly night at home is never a bad thing. :)
