Pearl clearly loves her dad and is very demonstrative on her terms. She does not enjoy being picked up or fussed with but adores Steve's attentions, belly rubs, conversations.
While we have come a long way, Pearl is much more reserved with momma and limits our intimacies to shared coffee club, treats, and talks held at a distance. But her nightly greeting to Steve makes me smile in anticipation that SOME day...
