Steve and Opal's sisters have mentioned that Opal, who has never gone on or even shown interest in leashes or walks, suddenly stands on the sun porch as the team harnesses up. She watches intensely and does not back away into the house until they are just about to exit the front door.
My Caregiver, if it is possible, has demanded more of my attention in pets and requests to practice skills. She has taken to sliding under my hand and sitting under my embrace rubbing softly against my fingers.
And then this morning, this...

"Well good morning, Sweet Opal! What a wonderful surprise to have you come up and greet me!" I did not shift or move to pet her but this was a huge step so long awaited from our reticient girl. After a few minutes of conversation Opal slipped back down to join the others for coffee time...BOTH of us smiling.
