White Dog and the Army bought me a cool silicon microwave popcorn popper for my birthday because it is one of our favorite movie watching snacks. The initial plan was on last Sunday, we would use the new popper and make popcorn and watch a family movie. Well, we ALL know about stores and the bedlam of last weekend. So the WDA sighed heavily and accepted a substitute treat.

Who ever would have guessed that organic non-GMO popcorn kernels for popping would be on every survivalist shopping list? As we prepare our grocery list for this weekend, there is much speculation here about whether the restocked shelves will include the little seeds that burst into such delicious morsels...especially when smothered in butter (for momma and half the Army) or cheese shakes (for dad and his team).

I have cautioned all that these are trying times and America is still learning how to be safe and get done what we must so that the Army may be disappointed about availability. "We are tough as any," White Dog says, "if we must we will just settle for butter and cheese."
