White Dog yawned and stretched. "It seems like we just went to sleep," she complained. "If dad hadn't promised chicken and waffles, I might have just slept through breakfast." "Little White Dog of My Heart, we only went to sleep a few hours ago; everypup was awake waiting for the booms to stop so that they could stop shaking with fear enough to sleep. It WAS a horrible night."
After the promised feast, Steve put on Scheherazade and encouraged the Army to settle comfortably for a "real sleep, not just a nap." He got no arguments.
