White Dog nodded slowly. "Pearl does seem to be pulling out of her dive slowly. There is more sparkle in her eyes tonight and best of all she ate and asked for seconds. That is pretty good."

I cautioned WD that some credit needed to go to the appetite stimulant Dr. Julia sent home and that Pearl was still loose afterward. "But less so," White Dog argued. "That is progress."

This afternoon I was not sure how I felt about Dr. Julia's plan to treat Pearly Pearl's continuing lack of appetite/ potty issues as separate from the mysterious object in her stomach. In talking tonight I see the value in getting My Girl back up to speed before we "muck around" trying to decide what is in her stomach and what to do about it.

Our healer is fairly convinced that the foreign object is unrelated to Pearl's development of mega colon and thinks the "thing" may have been there for possibly sometime. Her thought is to get Pearl up to full strength then consider more testing or partially invasive procedures to deal with what is still hazy and poorly defined in Xrays and ultrasound.

So the goal for the weekend is to get our Precious Gem eating and moving closer to normal regularity. Monday she will go back to the vet's office for assessment and strategizing.

As we say, "Paws crossed."

Paws crossed, indeed. We continue to purr and pray for sweet Pearl.
