White Dog worked herself up so badly that her teeth were chattering by the time Steve carried her into Dr. Julia's exam room. Our healer took a few moments just to calm her and speak reassuringly. "Sweet girl, you have been coming to see me your entire life. I have never done you any harm. You have nothing to fear."

White Dog shivered her way through the gentle physical exam. Steve asked about a papalloma  Siku has developed near her left front armpit. "It is a little wart," Dr. Julia explained. "Let's not do anything about it unless we need to keep her for the day and do sedation. Just watch it and if it changes we will reassess."

White Dog took a deep breath...so did Steve...we all did at home as well...when Rosie walked into the exam room. Rosie was going to perform an ultrasound to check on the pancreatic cyst that was so troublesome a few months back. It had been thirty days since the last test and we all wanted to make sure no draining of the cyst was needed. If it did need attention, White Dog would spend the day at the clinic for the procedure.

Twenty minutes later Steve called. "We're on the way home," he said. "BOTH of us! And this time WD does not need to be rechecked for TWO months." The Sibe songs and general barking made it almost impossible for Steve to hear my suggestion of stopping to carryout breakfast scrambles for everyone. "And don't forget biscuits, not toast," Bella squeaked into the phone as a reminder.
