White Dog stopped Steve from taking the photo. It was after dinner, a time when the White Dog Army usually scatters for post-meal naps in preparation for bedtime walks. Tonight, however, the entire family gathered in the living room to just congregate and enjoy each other's company.
"Don't intrude on our moment of sanctuary," she told Steve. "Let us lock out the world for just these few minutes and draw strength from family and love."
