"Gee, dad, I was napping. All the excitement left me tired." |
White Dog gets asked fifty times a day by Bella, "Do you think my eye is looking better?" She patiently looks seriously at her sibling's face then nods, "Yep. It is looking less puffy and clearer." And Bella happily allows us to continue to put drops in her eye without a fuss.
Late this morning when Bella again asked White Dog, the leader of the pack replied, "Does it FEEL better?" then thought for a moment and added, "Ask Dr. Julia when you see her later today for your followup. If SHE tells you it is looking better, you will know for sure that you are healing."
Steve reported that Bella started soliciting opinions about her eye the second she walked into the vet's office. She asked Jackie. She asked Cindy. She asked a beagle wearing a cone. When they were shown to an exam room, Bella stood staring into the stainless steel equipment trying to judge for herself. FINALLY Dr. Julia came in.
"Well?" Bella asked her. "Well, give me a minute to raise the exam table and turn on my scope." our healer responded. The eye was thoroughly examined and the pupil was dilated to reveal more. "Keep up what you are doing. Bella, your eye is healing; it looks clearer and responds more to light. The pressure is going down slowly so lets keep up the drops twice a day and the steroid once daily. Let's check again in one week. See you then."

That is definitely encouraging news. We are so happy, and will keep on purring and praying for more healing.
