White Dog barked for Bella to let go but it just frightened our senior girl and she clung tighter.

Bella still is not seeing well out of her left eye and, truth be told, she probably is a candidate for a good pair of trifocals for the right. She can kind of hone in to the general location of a treat but relies on good luck to actually strike the yummy target with her teeth. Steve knows that but sometimes forgets to switch holding positions after feeding the dainty and gentle White Dog to the open palm system that saves fingers from our Tiny Shark. Fortunately, Bella only bites hard enough to hurt but not to draw blood. The challenge is convincing her to "release," which was part 2 of what we in the other room heard..."Bella let go...you can let go now...BELLA that hurts!"

"I did not mean to hurt Dad," Bella apologized. "Will he be all right?" White Dog had insisted that Steve (and Bella) come to momma's medical station for a cleaning and a look at the damage. "He might have a bruise but will be fine. Bells, maybe in the future you should try to be less manic in grabbing your cookies; if you sit nice and wait Dad will guide the treat for your maximum enjoyment."
