White Dog curled up next to me. "Can you wrap me in the soft blanket," she asked, "the blue one. I am going to take a nap while dad is out for his bike ride.My siblings seem to have other plans."

Steve recently started taking a work break every other day for a "get away from the computer, get some fresh air and sunlight, and move" bicycle ride. For half an hour or so, he takes advantage of our city's fantastic system of bike lanes and trails that connect our front door to the University, to the river, and to neighborhood parks.

Not everyone member of the White Dog Army understands that is Steve's "Me Time" and they call after him as he rolls down the drive to take them along. Then they wait, like hawks watching for a bunny/daddy to return. When he is sighted the clamor goes up and follows him back up the drive. There is a brief pause as they all barrel into the yard to personally meet him as he returns his bike to the shed in the yard.

Then all expect treats and a long drink of water to replenish nutrients lost from the exertion.
