With the exception of Steve, we are not quite at the cuddle together point with the new recruit but Diva is starting to grow into her place in the White Dog Army. She is being allowed to share the comfy spots to rest. With Opal's help, space was found in the sunpuddle that warms the bed in the late morning. 

Diva has been watching...and learning. Tonight we saw her interact with Roman by respectfully making eye contact across the room then deliberately sitting very still. Roman stayed calm and kept her gaze. Slowly, he began to thump his tail. Diva squirmed in joy. "Don't move, Little One, just take this small step," I whispered. 

She held her spot until Roman came over to sit next to me and look up as if to ask, "Am I good boy, momma?" I caressed his ears. "I am so very proud of you!" And Diva ran off to tell Dad.
