This, as they say, isn't my first Rodeo. We HAVE added new recruits to our Army before so today was really rather expected. It was the White Dog Army's "We are tired of smiling and being super nice all of the time" day.
Generally these days occur just after you nod to yourself and think, "Gee, this is really going VERY well." And the Lords of Cosmic Jest look down and laugh and laugh...
...as the mere mention of Lilly's name is enough to send Roman into a sputtering, teeth baring demonstration of might even though she was not in the room and it was actually poor Bailey who was blown back by his wrath.
...as timid and mellow Lilly is relentless in her attempts to hump her sisters. AND she seemed shocked when they took issue to her advances.
...as the Little Thug Wanna-Be, Diva, in her desire to impress Roman forgot her footing and fell head over tail down the ramp. The drama that ensued had its intended effect of bringing Steve running. She is fine.
...as Lilly pushed Zsofia out of the way "just because" one too many times and Zso curled her lip and hip checked back; then immediately came to me to apologize for losing her cool.
Tomorrow we hopefully will get back to continuing the Getting to Know You Song and the cycle will repeat until one magic day no one remembers that anybody is new or different.
