Our little Diva fools with her bug-eyed, "I'm adorable" persona. That guise gets her through a lot but Our Girl knows that sometimes you need a backup plan...like when Dad wants to pick you up to put you in a gated area and you don't want to go but your usual plan of scampering out of the dog door doesn't work because Lilly is blocking the aisle. What do you do? Gandhi dog sometimes does the trick...rolling on your back and going limp.
But a new plan has evolved using Lilly as an accomplice. Diva simply stands underneath our long-legged big girl; D becomes inaccessible under Lilly's legs and bobbing face as Lilly twists and turns her head while trying to reach down and figure out what is happening. Then Steve's task becomes to first get Lilly to move out of the way which provides Diva the distraction needed to dart out of the dog door.
Lilly is very patient with her smallest sister walking in her shadow. But so far we have yet to discover anything that rattles our gentle giant.
