I awoke to drool on the side of my face and gentle lips tugging at the strap of my C-Pap mask. Without my glasses the face that greeted me was blurry but easily recognizable.
I felt another pull and reached to push her face aside. "Leave it," I mumbled as I slowly came to awareness. The high winds have stirred up LOTS of dust which has just about everyone in Albuquerque, including me, sniffing and sneezing. I sleep wearing a fighter-pilot type mask to treat sleep apnea. At lights out I carefully fold and tuck a tissue under the strap of the mask so it will be instantly ready should I wake with nose issues.
Lilly is obsessed with kleenex. It is one of her favorite snacks. Apparently my calm girl discovered momma's emergency sheet as I slept. Her gentle attempt to steal it nearly succeeded. "Go see dad," I told her and shifted the tissue to the side of my head resting on the pillow.
You can have a tissue, Lilly. Just not THAT tissue!
ReplyDeleteLove that pic. <3 Funny you should mention tissues, my FiveSibes loved paper towels! (I think it represented food to them as so many were our used ones with leftover yummy smells on them, so the clean ones became fair game if left nearby!) It has been so windy here, we joke that we moved to the wind tunnel of the state. Sounds like all over is windy these days. How do your pups react to wind? Pupsters Wolfie and Chloe did not like it...Gibson, that boy loved all kinds of inclement weather, snow, rain, wind! BOL
