"This is where I wait for each of the Bedtime Walk Teams to return home," Opal said as she shared the photo Steve had taken of her. "It is a great spot, momma," she continued. "I can watch the sunporch through the front door, the kitchen where Roman waits for his turn in the yard, and I can see the hallway to the bedroom in case you need me." 

"You know dad would LOVE it if you would consider going on a walk like the others do," I suggested. "Oh momma, you know I am just a homebody! And besides I have all these other things to keep watch over. I hope dad is not horribly disappointed," she replied.

Steve had come in during our conversation. He rubbed her head. "I understand. But know if you ever change your mind, even if you want to go just you and me, we can make that happen. I appreciate you watching things so the rest of us can take walks."
