Lilly is working with Steve on her basic manners; specifically to take verbal (and hand) commands as serious directions and not merely suggested behaviors.

There is no doubt that her reward, in addition to the training treats, is Steve's effusive praise. She absolutely adores him and when she is successful, she stares in absolute devotion soaking up the positive reinforcement.

Lilly thinks this look is also her secret weapon; her mezmerizing "Look deep into my blue eyes and fall under my spell" gaze. Sometimes Steve falls under her charms; which is why Opal sits on the deck next to the dog door during these sessions. The flash of white moving toward the door...and momma, who is immune...is usually enough to break the spell.
