 Bailey knows how to quietly remind our health team at Dr. Julia's how much we appreciate each of them. Today, before hopping into the car to head for her annual Wellness Visit, she made sure Steve had nicely packed the sparkling fruit waters in ice and assembled snacks then loaded them to go along.

"I think they will appreciate something cool and crunchy on this hot day," she and the White Dog Army had plotted. "They are always so busy no one ever has time for lunch or a break."

Bailey was greeted with affection when she calmly strolled into the clinic and once the staff saw what Steve was delivering, she was welcomed like a returning hero. "You made my day," Cindy, Dr. Julia's Number One, told her.

The exam was flawless. Dr. Julia prclaimed Our Girl to be in marvelous shape. She is a healthy weight with good muscle tone.Teeth don't need a dental. No vaccines were needed

Everyone made a point to thank Bailey and Steve for the treats and to send well wishes back to the rest of the White Dog Army. 

When we checked on bloodwork results Friday afternoon Bailey's gold star continued to shine. All of her values were within normal range. The only item of note was that her WBC was on the low side of normal. Rosie called this a "left shift" in her count and explained that it was something we should be aware of should Bai develop an infection or some kind of "bug" where her body would require an antibiotic to shore up the WBC defenses.  It should not hinder Bailey in any fashion but we will keep track of it.

"I still earned treats," Bailey wanted to know when she and Steve returned home. "Of course. You ALL have. Zsofia laid next to me the entire time you were gone fretting; everyone is glad all is good."
