When Diva returned from her spa day with Aspen she was sleek and coiffed in a clipped style most suitable for summer heat and messy eating habits. "You even smell good," Roman told her. "Like a mix of cinnamon rolls and clover flowers." Lilly rushed over to take a long whiff. "She reminds me of strawberries and corn chips." Everyone turned to look with raised eyebrows. "I am just saying."
Diva brought the latest gossip home to share. "Aspen's baby is due in just over one month," she told us. "That is why she trimmed me extra close; because she might not be available for my next regular groom. I guess being a new mommy has sort of a learning curve." Bailey snorted. "Being a mommy takes up ALL your time. Those first few weeks you get no rest and are constantly worrying." Opal nodded her agreement; both had been breeder dogs.
"I am OK if she takes an extra couple of weeks," Diva yawned. "Spa Day is pretty exhausting itself. It is not easy being beautiful."
